1371138 Tipping containers to discharge contents; pneumatic conveyers DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT 17 April 1972 [19 April 1971] 17588/72 Headings B8E B8A and B8S In a tippable receptacle 1, Fig. 1, for emptying containers in which the container is placed on a raisable plate 8 through a side door 2, Fig. 2 (not shown), a hopper portion 3 is provided with a porous wall 5 so that compressed air may be supplied to the chamber between walls 4, 5 to fluidize the contents of the container during emptying. The plate 8 is raised by inflating a hose 9 and rails 10 guide the plate. A resilient sealing strip is provided round the shoulder 12. Thd porous wall 5 may be of sintered metal, ceramic or plastics material and is preferably porous polyethylene.
