Abstract

1488581 Feeding to pneumatic conveyers NEWPORT FORGE & ENG Ltd 15 Dec 1975 [8 Jan 1975] 744/75 Heading B8A Material is fed to a conveying pipe X from a despatch container 13 through a non-return valve 14 by means of air supplied to the container 13, and material is supplied to the container through a fill valve 12, the air supply means and the fill valve being operated alternately such that the valve 12 must be fully closed before air can be supplied to the container, the container being vented during filling, and the fill valve being controlled in response to the air pressure in the pipe X. The container has permeable walls 16 through which the air is supplied and through which the container is vented.
