Abstract

1386247 Emptying hoppers pneumatically CRF VERTUE 3 Aug 1972 [5 Aug 1971] 36945/71 Heading B8A [Also in Division F1] Powder maintained in a fluidized state in the lower portion 209 of a container 20 by compressed air introduced below a porous membrane 217, is withdrawn therefrom by air actuated ejector devices 204 (see Division F1) through which the material is drawn by induced vacuum. As shown in Fig. 5, the ejector devices 204 are resiliently mounted on a rubber sheet 221 on the lower portion 209 and vibrated by a vibrator 225.
