Abstract
1380067 Discharging hoppers SIMON ENG Ltd 19 Oct 1972 [17 Nov 1971] 53256/71 Heading B8S To discharge particulate material from a container having a bottom outlet 13 closed by a displaceable member 16, the container is placed on a device 30 comprising a member 35 which displaces the member 16 into the container as the latter is placed on the device, a dish 32 for receiving the material from the container and having a discharge outlet 33, and means for vibrating the dish 32 and the member 35. The member 16 is secured to a rod 17 slidably received in a sleeve 18 supported from a frustoconical bottom wall 12 of the container. Legs 20 for supporting the container carry feet 50 which are placed on pads 42 of the device 30 and are adjustable to vary the degree of opening of the bottom outlet 13. The dish 32 is supported via resilient isolators 34 on legs 31 and supports, via springs 40, an annular member 38 carrying a resilient bead 38a which engages the exterior of the frusto-conical container-wall 12. A flexible skirt 41 extends between the annular member 38 and the dish 32.
