Abstract

1422195 Pneumatically emptying a hopper ZYKLOS METALLBAU KG DIPL-ING KARL HAEGELE 17 Jan 1973 [19 Jan 1972] 2358/73 Heading B8A Powdery material, e.g. plaster, in a container is subjected to pressure as an airstream from a compressed air pipe engaged powder discharged and blows it through a conveyer pipe. In the Figure, powder 14 in an air-tight container 1 is subjected to a tangential stream of high pressure air from a compressor through pipe 11, at the same time as powder which has dropped through open outlet 5 into box 6, forming a core 15, is subjected to a stream of air through nozzle 8. The powder is thus blown into funnel 9 and along pipe 10 to a point of use, e.g. a building site. An alternative embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown), uses a piston to provide pressure above the powder, instead of air pressure.
