Abstract

The silo has an inner flexible wall, fixed in an airtight way to the silo above the region where clogging is expected. A compressed air supply is fed to between the silo way and the flexible lining, and impulses applied to vibrate the flexible lining. The air can be taken out with the material at the bottom of the silo, or alternatively via another tube, in which latter case the flexible lining is fixed to the solo both at top and bottom. The supply tube can also be used as exhaust, using a valve to vary the airflow direction.
