Abstract

137,088. Skinner, G. H. Dec. 20, 1918. Valves.-To prevent leakage between the inlet or exhaust valve spindle and its guide, a soft or elastic conical washer f is fitted around the valve spindle and pressed against the end of the guide by an auxiliary valve-spring k. The washer f is supported in a holder g, and is conveniently formed of a series of felt rings as shown.
