Abstract
1369865 Filling heads for rotary filling machines SEITZ-WERKE GmbH 1 Oct 1971 [3 Oct 1970] 45727/71 Heading B8T Each filling element 11, attached to the filler tank 10 of a rotary filling machine, is cleaned by passing a cleaning liquid or gas through pipeline 41 and through a shut-off valve 43 as well as into housing 14 when shut-off valves 34, 22 and 24, 16 and 17 are closed. After cleaning the tank 10, valve 43 is closed and valve 34 opened permitting the cleaning agent to pass through the valve and out through duct 38. Valves 22, 24 and 16, 17 are then opened and valve 34 closed by raising pinion 27 thereby allowing the cleaning agent to pass through gas tube 21, bore 19 and outlet 18. An annular duct 44, common to all the elements 11, and lines 47 are then cleaned when valves 45 and 49 are opened. The opening of valve 34 is operated by a cam 40.
