1368569 Hydraulic testing machine CARL SCHENCK MASCHINENFABRIK GmbH 10 Nov 1972 [18 Jan 1972] 52129/72 Heading G1S A hydraulic machine for testing a workpiece 17 comprises a first cylinder 1 and piston 2 for applying a static prestressing load and a second cylinder 9 and piston 10 for applying a dynamic alternating load, the second cylinder 9 being formed in the piston rod of the first piston 2, and the second piston 10 being rigidly connected to the first cylinder 1. Cylinder 1 is loaded with oil via a servo-valve 5 and pressure lines 3, 4. Pressure stores 6, 7 prevent substantial changes in the pressure in cylinder 1 as a result of movement of piston 2. Cylinder 9 is loaded with oil via servo valve 14 and bore 11 in piston 10. A displacement pickup 12, or a speed or acceleration pickup is provided on piston 2.
