Abstract

136,319. Lamkin, A. E. Jan. 2, 1919. Spray carburettors.-A bi-fuel carburettor comprises a float chamber 1 surrounding a tubular member 6 which extends through the base of the float chamber and contains two valves 14, 16, the valve 14 controlling an aperture 7 leading from the float chamber 1, and the valve 16 controlling the supply from a second float chamber 22. The two valves are preferably interconnected so as to be operated simultaneously, but in opposite senses, by a common control lever. By regulating the control lever, either of the fuels or a mixture thereof, may be supplied to the jet. In the form shown, the valves are mounted on a ccmmon spindle which extends through the base of the member 6 and is raised by a lever 26 connected by a Bowden wire to a control lever 29. A needle valve 10 controls the fuel jet 9. The float 2 is hinged to one side of the float chamber and operates a needle valve cutting off the fuel supply.
