Abstract

1354023 Yarn grippers SULZER BROS Ltd 20 May 1971 [29 May 1970] 16056/71 Heading D1E A yarn gripper mechanism which may be in a gripper shuttle or weft presenter comprises a pair of clamp arms 5 with jaws 4 at their ends and biassed to a closed position, a member 9 for opening the jaws and at least one stop member resilient, damping 15 against which the clamp arms bear just before reaching the closed position. The stop member may be of rubber or be of polygonal or cam shaped cross section so that the distance between sides of it against which the clamp arms bear may be varied when the stop member is rotated.
