1297967 Transferring yarn ends to knotting mechanism ELITEX ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 5 Dec 1969 [13 Dec 1968] 59413/69 Heading D1J A pair of jaws 6, 8 on an arm 3 that is rotatable about a shaft 1 to grip a broken yarn end 16 and move it to a knotting mechanism is characterized in that the jaw 6 is resiliently mounted relatively to a cutting element 17 and the other jaw 8, and in that the jaw 8 is movable relatively to the cutting element 17. As the arm 3 rotates about a fixed cam 14, the cam 14 causes a roller 13 to displace a rod 11 and bell crank 9 in a manner causing a member 7 to pull jaw 8 towards jaw 6 and so clamp the yarn end 16 therebetween. The jaw 6 is resiliently biassed by a spring 5 so that further subsequent displacement of the member 7 causes the jaws 6, 8 to move jointly passed the cutting element 17 to cause the free yarn end to be cut off.
