Abstract

1350178 Building motions SPRINGS MILLS INC 8 Aug 1972 [20 Aug 1971] 37025/72 Heading DID A builder motion on a ring frame comprises a manually actuable electric control 55 for a fluid operated ring rail. The ring rail is lowered below its normal position twice by manual operation of control 55 to (a) facilitate doffing and (b) take up slack in the yarn during start up. As shown, the ring rail is normally reciprocated by chain 26 acting via counterbalanced crank arms 16 on lifter rods 21. When it is required to position the ring rail at a lower position, button 55 is depressed to operate fluid pressure motor and pump to supply fluid to the piston and cylinder 30, 31. The piston 31 is attached to the machine frame and the cylinder causes the crank arms 16 to move the rail to its low position.
