Abstract
1340843 Transformers F RAUPACH 17 Feb 1972 [20 Feb 1971] 7347/72 Heading HIT A transformer arrangement comprises two identical transformers 14, 15 in a cylinderical tank 11, the high voltage windings of the transformers being connected in parallel and the exciting windings in series or parallel. The transformers may be coupled by a coupling winding and may be disposed in off-set parallel position as shown in Fig. 4 so that the internal diameter of the tank needs to be little more than the sum of the diameters of the winding units 18, 19. The tank may be oil filled and the windings may be upright coils with cooling ducts. The transformer arrangement may be used for testing or as part of a testing transformer cascade.
