Abstract
1327328 Break spinning DAIWA BOSEKI KK and TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK 4 Oct 1971 [8 Oct 1970 22 March 1971] 46156/71 Headings DID and D1F [Also in Division F2] The rotor of a break spinning machine is cleaned by sucking air from the chamber (via duct 15) and then during the sucking action blowing compressed air into the chamber. The sucking and blowing operations are performed after a yarn break has been detected and the rotor support has been tilted to a position in which the rotor has been braked. The sucking and blowing operations can be initiated by the tilting movement of the rotor support by the use of a rotary valve containing appropriately sized suction and compressed air passages. The rotor support may tilt under its own weight to a first position in which suction is applied to the chamber, and may be manually tilted to a second position in which compressed air is blown into the chamber, see also Figs. 1-8 not shown. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 11-15 not shown) the fibre feed channel 11 has a groove (41) immediately behind it to blow air into the fibre stream leaving the feed channel. Also, the compressed air is blown into the chamber in two stages, the second being more intense than the first. The operation of the blowing two stage blowing device can be time-controlled.
