Abstract

1,264,882. Open end spinning. H. W. KRAUSE. 23 May, 1969 [24 May, 1968], No. 26348/69. Heading DID. Fibres being fed to an open end spinning chamber pass along a duct 12 in a suction air stream caused by the low pressure in chamber 6. An opening 10 in duct 12 allows air to be sucked in from outside, the fibres thus being accelerated and held away from the walls of duct 12 so as to be parallelized. The ducts before and/or after opening 10 may be tapered to assist in making the fibres parallel. A second opening may be provided downstream of the first to assist in making the fibres parallel.
