Abstract

1326217 Feeding strands GLANZSTOFF AG 15 July 1970 [19 July 1969] 34246/70 Heading D1F In an injector for drawing off filamentary material travelling at high speeds induction takes place in a plurality of stages. In one embodimet, Fig. 1, the injector comprises a suction tube 1, first and second stage tubes 2, 3 respectively, which are fed with gas, e.g. compressed air, by respective supply lines 5, 6 so that the filamentary material 7 is sucked in series through the chambers 1, 2, 3 and discharges through a diffuser 4. In a preferred embodiment, Fig. 2, the injector is mounted on a handle 8 to form a gun in which the flow of compressed air to the supply lines 5, 6, the latter having a diaphragm 15, is controlled by a conical valve 10 operated by a trigger arm 13. A bag (17), Fig. 3 (not shown), which may have an inner supporting cage (18) may be fastened to the diffuser 4 to collect the filamentary material drawn off. (For Figures see next page)
