Abstract
993, 566. Wire &c. coating apparatus. KNAPSACK-GRIESHEIM A.G. Jan. 10, 1962 [Jan. 10, 1961; Sept. 28, 1961], No. 939/62. Heading D1L. [Also in Division B2] Tubes, bands and wires are coated by a process comprising passing them through oven 2, fluidized bed container 8, hot air ring 4, heater 5 and cooler 6. At least one collector 15 is situated below the apertures 12 and 13 in the fluidized bed container 8, for collecting coating material escaping through the apertures and this material is conveyed back to the container 8 by pumps working on the injector principle, suction pumps, elevators or conveyer screws. The articles may be precleaned. The apertures may be fitted with exchangeable nozzle rings.
