Abstract

1319472 Beet harvester SOC ANON HERRIAU 1 Sept 1970 [3 Sept 1969] 41827/70 Heading A1F A beet harvester has two rotatable circular grids 1 on to which the beet are deposited after being lifted by shares. The beet are flung outwards against the fixed grids 5 which each consist of five bars arranged parallel to the plane of rotation of the circular grids. To avoid weeds clogging the fixed grids, the bars are fixed only at their ends, the front ends being attached to a plate 11 and the rear ends to a stay 13. A further grid 17 on each side forms the beet into a windrow. The central grids 20 prevent beets remaining on the circular grids from going forward. The harvester may be mounted on a tractor threepoint-hitch and driven by the p.t.o.
