Abstract

1473712 Multi-row root-crop harvesters MACHINEFABRIEK J DE JONGE BV 30 Aug 1974 [31 Aug 1973] 38086/74 Heading A1F A multi-row root crop harvester comprises pairs of lifting shares 3, 4 and 5 mounted on a frame 1 by means of a transverse beam 2. The root crops, upon being engaged by the lifters, are seized by the ribs of the feed conveyor 12, 13 which boasts the lifting effect of the shares. Crops are entrained between the above-mentioned conveyor and a discharge conveyor 7, 8 which also serves to remove them to the rear of the machine. On the surface of the feed conveyor 12, 13 and lying between the crop lifters 3, 4; 4, 5 are two rows of pins 16. These prevent sideways movement of smaller root crops and remove soil and leaves adhering to the crop lifters.
