Abstract

Pivoted-sliding windows.-The frame is made with double rabbets p for each sliding sash, but has no parting or stop beads so that the sashes can be turned out on pivot bolts d. Each sash has an upper pair of bolts c which, with the bolts d, normally engage grooves g. To turn the sashes, the bolts c are withdrawn from the grooves, and the bottom bolts d are moved through slots in plates f and into holes e in the frame. The sash lines i are housed in grooves h in the sashes.
