Abstract

17,623. Bramham, M. E. Aug. 4. Windows. - Ribbed flaps 6, 7, hinged to the window frame, when turned into the position shown allow the sashes to be reversed on central pivots 4, or to be entirely removed from the frame by the pivots being withdrawn along the crossslots 11. When the flaps are closed down against the corresponding rabbets and grooves of the frame, the sashes are secured against rattling, and from being opened from without, and are draught-proof. Draught-excluding beads 12, 13, fixed to the meeting rails engage with one another, when the sashes are closed.
