Pivoted-sliding windows. -Metal window frames of the horizontal sliding type slide on flanges g having cut-away portions h, i through which studs c and segments d carried by the window may pass. The windows also carry pivots j which in the open position pass into slots k in the frames, thus forming hinges about which the windows may swing inwards. The segments d provide sufficient surface to bear against the flanges g until the pivots j begin to hold in the circular parts of the slots k. The sliding windows may be arranged to hinge at both ends.
