Abstract

1316039 Writing appliances N MIYAMOTO 9 Aug 1971 [15 Aug 1970] 37402/71 Heading B6P A writing appliance comprises a writing instrument 4 mounted in a tube 1 for axial movement therein, constructions 2, 3 at the end of the tube engaged by a stop member 5 on the instrument to limit the axial movement of the instrument, and a spring-loaded pivoted clip 6 disposable in a clipping position or a position shown in chain lines in which it can pass into the tube to permit the instrument to be moved to a projected position for use. The stop 5 is a resilient tubular plate which bears against the tube 1 to prevent unwanted movement. The instrument 4 may be a propelling pencil or, as shown, is a replaceable ball point and ink cartridge assembly.
