Abstract

Frequency, changing.-Oscillations generated by a thermionic valve 0 and amplified by a thermionic relay A are transferred through a, transformer T to the grid circuit of a valve G. The amplified oscillations overload the valve G, and produce a deformation of the wave in the output circuit. The deformed wave is amplified in the thermionic relay A, and a particular harmonic is selected by tuning the output circuit. Amplifi. cation of the selected harmonic is provided by the relay A<2>, which has its input and output circuits tuned to the selected frequency.
