Abstract

526,568. Valve amplifying and generating circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILLIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. March 20, 1939, No. 8877. Convention date, March 22, 1938. [Class 40 (v)] A circuit for amplifying or generating ultra high-frequency oscillations comprises a low loss resonator, consisting of a metal container having distributed self-inductance and capacity, in the grid circuit of a discharge tube in which backcoupling is provided between the output and the resonator and in which means are provided to remove back-coupling through internal impedances of the discharge tube or through impedances of the supply leads. A screen grid may be used to remove back-coupling due to inter-electrode capacity. The Fig. shows a circuit in which back coupling is effected through condenser 6. A neutralizing condenser 8 removes back-coupling due to the inter-electrode capacity. The output may be taken from anode impedance 9 and a screen-grid may be provided to counteract the reaction of load variations in the anode circuit on the generator circuit.
