Abstract

425,572. Valve amplifying circuits. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. July 2, 1934, No. 19492. Convention date, July 1, 1933. [Class 40 (v)] In high-frequency amplifier circuits comprising a single valve feeding a push-pull pair, the anode-cathode capacity of the first valve and the inductance between the anode and the mid-point of the output circuit are balanced by an impedance network between the cathode and the cathode side of the output circuit. The anode-cathode capacity of the valve 1 is balanced about the mid-point of the output inductance 4 by a condenser 12. The inductance of the connections between the cathode and the mid-point of 4 and the anode to the inductance 4 are represented by the lumped inductance L and this is balanced by inductances 13, 14. Balance is thus ensured for all working frequencies and the amplifier is thereby stabilized and parasitic oscillations are prevented.
