[Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXV] A grid-controlled gas- or vapour-filled discharge-tube circuit in which a recurring control voltage S of steep wave form is applied through a retarding circuit 12, 13 to the control grid 14 of a discharge tube 16, particularly for the control of seam-welding apparatus, is characterized by the provision of another discharge tube 7 between the control voltage source 1 and the retarding circuit 12, 13 to reduce coupling between these points.
