427,373. Preventing and removing incrustation. KAHN, P., 136, Regent Street, London.-(Assignee of Markhof, A. von Mautner-; 5, Wiltrudenstrasse, Munich, Germany) June 29, 1934, No. 19325. Convention date, July 22, 1933. [Class 123 (i)] Incrustation in boilers is prevented and removed by the simultaneous action on the boiler shell of high frequency and low frequency electrical oscillations. In the Figure, an A.C. supply is connected through leads 10<a>, 10<b>, and high resistances or small condensers 3 to the boiler shell, and a high frequency generator 2 is also connected to the leads 10<a> 10<b> and to an aerial 4 stretched over the boiler, which radiates high frequency waves to the boiler. In a modification, high frequency broadcast radiations are received by an aerial and conducted through an inductance and variable condenser to the low frequency circuit. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also an arrangement including a valve amplifier, from which connections are made to electrodes in the boiler. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
