Abstract
482,518. Electrolytic condensers. DUBILIER CONDENSER CO. (1925), Ltd. Sept. 30, 1936, No. 26569. Convention date, Oct. 2, 1935. [Class 37] [Also in Group XVII] To vent the container of an electrolytic condenser, a diaphragm E of rubber &c. is clamped at its edges so that it is free to move with respect to them and it is within and spaced from a domed perforated cover D, a portion E<2> of the diaphragm being of reduced thickness and provided with a puncture E<1> so that on distension under internal pressure the gases &c. may escape. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also diaphragms of uniform thickness and diaphragms with other perforations in addition to the central one shown. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
