Abstract

1312547 Crank-case ventilation priming DAIMLER-BENZ A G 15 July 1971 [21 July 1970] 33314/71 Headings F1B and F1K In a multi-cylinder fuel injection engine, in which the idling air by-passes an induction manifold 13 downstream of an air throttle, a passage 22 for venting the passage communicates with the air idling system at or upstream of its branching into individual idling-air passages leading to respective cylinders. Idling air from filter 14 passes through duct 26 to the chamber 25 of a starting fuel valve 29 having an injection nozzle 28 and a warm air supply via duct 30. Chamber communicates with the individual induction pipes 17, 18 through a pipe 31.
