An induction manifold 19 with a completely closable throttle 18 is connected to the cylinders through individual induction pipes 20...25 each having an admission aperture 26 ... 31 for idling air. The apertures 26 ... 31 are connected to an idling air manifold 32 having means 34 for adjusting the idling air flow. The fuel is injected into the induction pipes through nozzles 42 ... 47.
