Abstract

1312261 Water-jet propulsion P M WILKS 19 June 1970 [23 May 1969] 26319/69 Heading B7V A marine craft propulsion unit comprises a water pump 13, 14 mounted at 30, 31 in the pump inlet of the craft. A power source in casing 25 has its output shaft 28 drivingly connectible with the input shaft 29 of the pump. Quick release clip 27 engageable between the power source and the pump and locating dowels 26 enable the power source to be readily detached from the pump which remains fixed in position at 30, 31. In the embodiment shown the craft may be steered by rotating nozzle 16 about vertical shaft 17.
