[Also in Division F1] An underwater jet propulsion unit having outlet water-jet nozzle 12 includes an air supply pipe 18 to entrain air from the atmosphere into the water-jet stream through annular space 15 as the water-jet issues from the nozzle. For steering purposes the nozzle may be moved about swivel joint 11 between forward drive and astern positions. (For Figure see next page)
