Abstract

1291904 Jet propulsion unit for hydro planes SCOOTER SKI Ltd 3 Aug 1971 [8 Aug 1970] 38313/70 Headings B7A and B7V] A water scooter is propelled by a water jet generated in a tunnel 12 by an impeller 9 on a shaft 18 which is resiliently supported at 16 and 23 and is driven by an engine 10 which is resiliently supported at 21 and 22. The lower portion 25 of the tunnel is removable to gain access to the impeller. Handle-bars 7 are operatively connected to a pair of parallel rudders 11 which deflect the jet to steer the vessel.
