Abstract

1311008 Vapour burner; pilot burner COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE DE RAFFINAGE 7 Dec 1970 [5 Dec 1969] 58044/70 Headings F4F and F4T A vapour burner supplied with liquefied petroleum gas through a tube 2, has an annular vaporizer 1 surrounding the flame 4, relative movement between the flame and the vaporizer being effected by axial movement of a grill or flame front stabilizer 13 either manually or automatically by means of a servomotor in response to the pressure of the expanded vapour measured at a gauge 8 downstream of a pressure regulating device or valve 7, heating of the vaporizer thus being adjusted. A pilot light 19 is supplied with gas drawn off between vaporizer 1 and valve 7, thus ensuring that when the burner is shut down heated gas in the vaporizer may be safely released, and an adjustable Venturi 10 is provided into which gas, supplied from an injector 9, and combustion air is fed.
