1276248 Safety devices for gas burners J M IRIONDO 9 Feb 1970 [8 Feb 1969] 6192/70 Heading F4T In a gas burner usable as a safety device, having a burner outlet 1 fed with gas from an injector 10, the flame is shaped by a member 2 disposed in the burner outlet; a temperature sensitive device 5 is provided at the centre of the member 2 which is responsive to the temperature of the flame-any cooling of the flame due to a decrease in oxygen concentration of the atmosphere is sensed by the device 5, which then causes operation of a shut-off valve (not shown) to cut off the gas supply.
