Abstract
1304129 Two-part couplings INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 30 Sept 1971 [2 Oct 1970] 45528/71 Heading H2E A plug housing consists of two half-shells 1, 1<SP>1</SP> each having as an integral part a clamping strap 7 close to the cable outlet. On three sides the clamping strap is bordered by a groove 14, and so attached to the remainder of the half-shell by a thin wall. On the fourth side it is attached by a thicker wall 10. When screws 12, which are accessible from outside, are tightened into nuts 13, the thin walls break, the walls 10 bend, and the clamping straps move towards each other to grasp the cable 11. The cable outlet is closed by a thin wall 6, which can be broken out when required. Two further cable outlets 5, with clamping straps 7 and walls 6, may be provided.
