934,579. Junction boxes. G. M. PRATLEY. March 7, 1962 [March 13, 1961], No. 8843/62. Class 38 (1). A cable junction-box comprises a cylindrical body 11, closed at one end 18 and having a cover 21 clamped to it by a central bolt 25, three cable entries 13 in the cylindrical wall located on a minor arc of its circle of cross-section, each with a chamber 19 for sealing compound, and terminals 15 insulated from the box and fixed in the larger segment of said circle. The cover 21 is provided with a peripheral groove 22 to hold a rubber-like gasket 23, and is recessed at 24 for the head of bolt 25, which may be covered by a waterproof rubber cap 27. Terminals 15 are secured in sockets 17 (Fig. 3, not shown), on the box base 18 by an insulating compound 16.
