923,325. Junction boxes. H. B. SHARP. Aug. 9, 1961, No. 28775/61. Class 38 (1). An overhead line equipment mounting device (Fig. 1) comprises an insulating platform 26 of mouldable synthetic plastic and a cover 22 enclosing an equipment receiving space 30 therebetween and integral with or connected to either of which is a weather-protecting skirt 24 depending below the platform through which pass conductors 36 into the space 30 and means for mounting the assembly close to overhead lines. In an embodiment (Fig. 3) a ring gasket 60 seals the bayonet-type connection between cover and platform members and protective devices 80 are included in the conductor to earth circuits. Various types of connection of the supporting arms to the conductors are described.
