Abstract

918,116. Junction-boxes. SHARP, H. B. Aug. 9, 1961, No. 28774/61. Class 38 (1). An overhead line equipment mounting-device (Fig. 1) comprises an insulating platform 14 which together with a cover 12 forms an equipment receiving space, electrical conductors 48 (Fig. 5) passing through the platform into the space, at least one arm 16 for mounting, fixed to or detachable from either cover or platform and provided with grip means in the form of a split-ring 18 insulated from the connecting means and adapted for engagement with an insulator 58 for support. The grip means may include a cup of resilient material (Fig. 7, not shown). With a platform of mouldable material the connecting means may include conductor posts moulded integrally with the platform for connection to the line conductors.
