Abstract

130,366. Torrens, J. A. Jan. 30, 1918. Spray carburettors; vaporizers, external.-A valve for admitting water to the induction pipe, carburettor air inlet, or vaporizer comprises a casing 2 with a water inlet 3 controlled by a needle valve 7 the lift of which is determined by a flange 8 thereon striking an adjustable split screw 9. Holes 10 admit air and drain away surplus water. The outlet passage 4 is controlled by a spring-loaded plunger 14, and the discharge of water may be delayed more or less by admitting air through an aperture controlled by a shutter 12.
