1294518 Determination of uric acid PFIZER INC 23 Oct 1970 [19 May 1970] 50588/ 70 Heading B1X A test kit for determination of uric acid in human blood serum comprise (A) a buffered solution of N-ethyl maleimide, (B) a buffered solution of neocuproine, (C) a copper salt solution, (D) uric acid standard solution. Preferred solutions are (A), 0.4% w/v, pH 7.5; (B) 0.04%, pH9; (C) 0.02% copper sulphate solution. In carrying out the test, the sample is mixed with solution (A), solution (B) is added and the mixture incubated, solution (C) is added and the mixture incubated again, then the optical density of the mixture is determined at 450 to 460 m.u.
