1290357 Mounting a core on a shaft; friction Clutches CIBA-GEIGY AG 16 Dec 1969 [17 Dec 1968] 61315/69 Headings F2C and F2U A core 29 is mounted on a mandrel 14 carried by a shaft 5 to which it is frictionally coupled, the mandrel having parts 20 pushed radially outwards against a resilient restoring means 28 (e.g. a band 28 in a groove 32) to thereby grip the core when the shaft is rotated relative to the mandrel. The parts 20 may have pins 22 engaging slots to limit their movement, and have bevelled ends to engage rollers 13 rigid with the shaft. The shaft 5 and mandrel 14 may be frictionally coupled by parts 6, 18 whose axial load due to springs 27 is adjustable. There may be only one part 20 or any larger number of these which may not be confined to a single radial plane.
