Abstract

1,037,203. Friction clutches. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO. Ltd. July 21, 1965 [July 27, 1964], No. 29882/64. Heading F2C. In a diaphragm-spring clutch the inner periphery of the diaphragm 2 is urged against the thrust ring 1 by an annular resilient member 4, such as a Belleville or coil spring, the face of the ring 1 having spaced projections 10 engaging the ends of the diaphragm slots, so that the diaphragm, thrust ring and annular resilient member are jointly rotatable. The elements are disposed around a metallic sleeve 6 with end flanges 9 retaining the elements in position.
