A split fulcrum ring 1 for arrangement on each side of a diaphragm-spring of a clutch has ends 2, 3 offset radially inwards and bent to provide lateral projections 4, 5 which can be sprung into apertures in the diaphragm springs, or clutch cover, whereby the ring is located and held in position.
