Abstract

1285405 Cylinder covers ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 4 Aug 1970 [5 Aug 1969] 37492/70 Heading F2T A cylinder 2 for a piston 7 is non-releasably secured to an end cover 3 by crimping portions 13 into a recess or recesses 12 as by a tool 16. As shown, an annular recess 12 is provided with indentations 14 to prevent the cover from turning. The extension 8 of the cover is tapered and has a diameter in the region of the abutment shoulder 9 slightly larger than the internal diameter of the cylinder. Alternatively, the cover may be provided with a series of radially directed blind bores or a series of chordal recesses for receiving the crimpings 13.
