Abstract

1,075,355. Pressure gauge safety devices. FAIREY ENGINEERING Ltd. May 7, 1964 [Feb. 8, 1963], No.5323/63. Heading G1L. In a pressure gauge protecting device a piston 30 is biased by a spring 38 to the position, shown in the Figure, and a normal system pressure P passes through a porous ring 24 to an annular passage 40 to the gauge 19 but should a sudden increase in pressure occur in the pressure P the piston 30 will be moved against the spring 38 to a position in which a part 31 of the piston 30 lies within a bore 21 in a housing 10 to cut-off communication with the gauge 19.
