1474027 Pistons CAM GEARS Ltd 29 July 1974 [13 Aug 1973] 38208/73 Heading F2T In order to mount an hydraulic piston assembly in a shallow groove 8 in a rack bar 2, e.g. for a vehicle power-steering arrangement, split steel rings 10 are spring into the groove and a packing ring 16 is urged radially outwardly by a compressed rubber ring 14. The ring 16 may have a staggered split (18) and may be made of nylon.
