Abstract

1285402 Presser foot; work guides VIRGINIO RIMOLDI & C SpA 21 July 1970 [29 July 1969] 35235/70 Heading D1G A presser foot 1 for a twin needle machine comprises a sole 12 provided with a hole 14 for the passage of a seam stitching needle 5, a lateral opening 15 for the passage of an overedge seam needle 6 and a longitudinal guide channel 18 for receiving an upwardly directed edge of a fabric to guide it between the needles. The foot is employed, with guide 21, to stitch a fabric 9 having a previously oversewn edge 20 to a fabric 10 while the edge of the latter is oversewn by needle 6 and looper 28. In addition to a tongue on the needle plate (not shown) a tongue (17, Fig. 2 not shown) is provided on the presser foot, the overedge stitches being formed on these tongues.
